Allen Engineering

Allen Engineering Corp. (AEC) was founded in 1964 by Dewayne and Mary Ann Allen in Piggott, Arkansas as a Ready Mix Concrete Operation. The company evolved and changed from a Ready Mix and Aggregate Producer (with six locations in Arkansas and Missouri) to a Concrete Pumping operation and eventually into a Concrete Contractor. In 1977, Dewayne manufactured Allen’s first piece of concrete equipment, the Razorback® Truss Screed, in an old Truck Repair Shop in Paragould, Arkansas.

Today, AEC is a designer, manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of the Allen® line of Concrete and Related Equipment that is sold across the country and around the world.

Mockup of homepage

Allen Engineering came to Pleth seeking an updated site design along with the creation of new features to give their clients a better user experience. Some of the new features Pleth had the opportunity to create for them include a product filter system with comparison tool, a back-end user portal for dealers and customers, and product hot points that highlight specific features of products.

Home and internal product page
Product hotspot feature

Product pages have the option to feature a close up of the product with hot points. When clicked, the hot points show more detail about a specific feature of the product.

Product comparison tool

We developed a way for the products to be added to a product comparison section. Once added to the tool, the user may click into it for more detail and see a side-by-side comparison of each feature the product offers.
